Meet Michelle Stewart

Since 1999 when I first found yoga, I’ve been studying and diving into the practice. I’ve been teaching yoga since 2007.  It is an honor to guide students in the practice that has enriched my life. I offer alignment-based, heart-centered, nature-inspired yoga instruction. I am grateful to all my teachers, including the many wonders on our planet (especially desert canyons and wild creatures). My love of being outdoors infuses what I teach. Earth is a great teacher of grounding and resilience and the interconnectedness of us all. I am a Certified Yoga Instructor (CYI) and a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (E-RYT 200 and a RYT-500 designations.)  I have extensively studied therapeutic applications of yoga with my teacher Meg Byerlein.

I hold a Master’s degree in sustainable natural resources/geography.

My classes encourage awareness of what’s going on internally. My intention is that students leave class feeling like the work we’ve done together is both relevant and beneficial. Yoga helps us remember and appreciate the vital energy within each of us.
