What is VibeAsana™?
VibeAsana™ is a blend of Whole Body Vibration (WBV) and Yoga (Asana).
What is Whole Body Vibration (WBV)?
Whole Body Vibration (WBV) is a transfer of frequency to the human body. Origins of WBV fitness techniques are found in Sweden, Germany and Italy dating back to early 1900’s. In the 1960’s scientists furthered the research of WBV on athletes and cosmonauts. The Space programs continue to do studies for the maintenance of bone density, cardiovascular health, muscular strength and mass.
One of the biggest benefits is WBV has been shown to increase muscle flexibility and strength in 10 minutes. Studies have show that 10 minutes of WBV training produces similar results to 30-45 of conventional training. It is recommended to do WBV training for 20 minutes, 3 times a week.

How VibeAsana™ works?
The WBV plate causes your muscles to contract at about 30 times per second. While regular forms of exercise work about 40{3da94cbc41c60fcf086766fe8cea895a7c1b389c41232493a6f61ddef8d2fe23} of your muscle fibers WBV works up to 90{3da94cbc41c60fcf086766fe8cea895a7c1b389c41232493a6f61ddef8d2fe23} of your muscle fibers. Leading to increased muscle density and strength. This can help improve balance, coordination, posture and increase your body’s performance.
Why VibeAsana™ WBV?
Lara was introduced to WBV in 2014 and was instantly hooked. Lara is fascinated how WBV offers an opportunity to incorporate an experience, movement, shake things up and feel amazing afterwards. Lara wanted to introduce VibeAsana™ classes that are shorter than a typical yoga class for those with busy schedules. At OM3 Yoga we recommend combining our VibeAsana™ classes with either a yoga or meditation class.
At OM3 Yoga we offer 20 and 45 minute VibeAsana™ classes combining WBV along with various forms of yoga, stretching, posture exercises, fitness and core training.
